The I “Have a Dream” Foundation-Idaho Board of Directors represent many factions of our community and all are dedicated to supporting the development, success and education of our Dreamer Scholars.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
BRENT ROBINSON Chairman
Brent brings an extensive business, teaching and financial background to the IHDF Board and is the former President, CEO and Director of Banks in Idaho, California and Toronto. He has also served on numerous Boards of Directors – both Corporate and Non-Profit. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering, and Economics from Utah State University, and MBA from Harvard University. Brent has taught Courses in both Economics and Management at the University of New Hampshire Lowell Technological Institute (now part of MIT) and Boise State University.
MARCIA KENT President
Marcia, an Idaho native from Custer County, has been living in the Wood River Valley since 1988. She attended the University of Idaho and Idaho State University, graduating with a B.A. in French and a Secondary Teaching Certificate. Marcia has lived in Paris, France and has a Diplome de Langue Francaise. She was an International Flight Purser for a major US airline, working mostly in Europe. Marcia has also been a substitute teacher and a private language teacher. She served on the Board of The Community Library and is a member of the Wood River Women’s Foundation. Marcia is enjoys being of service to the “I Have a Dream” Foundation–Idaho, as a Board member and as a volunteer.
BOB KNOEBEL Vice President
A Wood River Valley resident for 13 years, Bob retired from a 29 year career with the YMCA in Westport, Connecticut. Not content to relax, Bob immersed himself in volunteer activities soon after his arrival. He served as a Boy Scout merit badge counselor and Eagle mentor, and was named “Volunteer of the Year” by the Wood River Community YMCA in 2006. He joined the board of directors of the Hemingway Chapter of Trout Unlimited in 2005 and currently serves as Chairman of Youth Education as well as Program Chairman, scheduling guest speakers for the chapter’s monthly meetings. In 2015 he joined the board of directors of the Wood River Warriors Lacrosse club and has served on the Bellevue Parks Committee.Currently, Bob works for Silver Creek Outfitters as a fishing guide and during the winter months, is a supervisor with the Sun Valley ticketing department. He holds a B.S. in Psychology from Denison University.
JACOB GREENBERG Treasurer
Jacob is the Vice Chair of the Blaine County Board of Commissioners and, along with his wife, owns Shorty’s Diner. As a thirty- two-year resident, Jacob and his wife, Jeanne, have raised two sons who graduated from Wood River High School and the Community School. He sits on the Boards of the Friedman Memorial Airport Authority (where he is Chair of the Finance Committee and Treasurer), Fly Sun Valley Alliance, Sun Valley Economic Development, the Local Emergency Preparedness Committee. And now he is proud to be a member of the “I Have A Dream” Foundation – Idaho.
Fred has been an entrepreneur and master mason all of his adult life. He has owned Stoneworks of Palm Beach, Fla., for over 30 years. In the early 1980’s Fred sold commodities at the Chicago Board of Trade. Fred has owned several companies. In 1979 Fred graduated from Maharishi School of Management, in Iowa, with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
JOYCE A. HART
Joyce brings decades of expertise in the field of agriculture to the I Have a Dream Foundation-Idaho, specifically in the area of sustainable agriculture. She enjoys sharing her knowledge with Dreamer Scholars about how climate, technology and politics effect food production. With a Masters degree in education and music from Oregon State University and Portland State University, she also shares her passion for the piano with some of our students. A native Nebraskan, Joyce has been a teacher, and a farmer. Joyce recognizes the need for young people to understand our changing world and believes an education is the path to that understanding.
KENNETH LEWIS President Emeritus
Ken was the national Chairman of the I Have a Dream Foundation of New York and founding Chairman of the I have a Dream Foundation in Oregon, before establishing I Have a Dream Foundation-Idaho in 2012. Originally from New York City, Ken relocated to Portland, Oregon where he practiced law and eventually joined the Lasco Shipping Company and was its President from 1979 until his retirement in 1997. Ken has extensive Board service experience and has a wealth of knowledge from his work with many non-profit organizations. He holds an undergraduate degree from Princeton University and a JD from Harvard Law School.
Narda graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Fine Arts. She lived in Japan teaching English for three years, and moved to the Wood River Valley in 1988. Skiing brought her to Sun Valley, and the amazing lifestyle and community encouraged her to stay. She enjoyed being a real estate agent for 16 years, when her interest shifted to education in 2002. She adapted a Japanese method for teaching people to read English called Nardagani which has become an effective tool for teaching reading to the world.
REGINALD REEVES Chairman Emeritus
Reginald is an Idaho Falls attorney and the Executive Director of the Sun Valley Charitable Foundation, an organization that distributes food, clothing and other items to those in need. A celebrated humanitarian and philanthropist, Reginald was the recipient of the JRM Foundation’s 2018 Idaho Hometown Hero Award, the 2014 Outstanding Public Service Award and the 2012 Idaho State Bar’s Elite Service Award given to Idaho lawyers and judges for their exceptional contributions to justice and their communities. He holds a J.D. from the University of Idaho and a B.S. from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. Reginald had dedicated his life to public service and is honored to be a co-founder of the I Have a Dream Foundation-Idaho.
Ana Torres has been a Wood River Valley resident since 1994. She attended Boise State University, graduating with a B.A. in Business Administration. She is currently the mortgage broker and owner of Mortgage Solutions, and has been serving the real estate community since 2004. Ana and her husband enjoy spending time with their twin daughters and son. Ana has served on the board for the Hailey Chamber of Commerce and the Bellevue Planning and Zoning Commission. She also continues to volunteer for the Sun Valley Board of Realtors Holiday Baskets program. Ana is proud to be a board member of the I Have a Dream Foundation-Idaho.
